About the biotin
Biotin is an essential vitamin—meaning that your body needs this micronutrient to function properly. Biotin is a form of vitamin B that helps your body turn the food you eat (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) into energy. It promotes good skin health and helps regulate your LDL (bad) cholesterol and blood sugar. Biotin is also necessary to produce keratin, a protein that promotes strong nails and hair.
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin. That means that it is not stored in our bodies for long. Our body does not naturally produce it, either.
